A Gigantic Thank You to the congregation for supporting the youth group with the Rock-A- Thon and Turkey dinner. Both events were amazing and fun!
The youth group did a fantastic job making, serving, and cleaning-up after the Turkey Dinner! We couldn’t have done it without the generous support of the congregation with food donations, volunteers, and financial contributions! Did you know we had a potato peeling contest to see who was the fastest peeler? A short video is posted at our church facebook page, check it out and see if you can guess who won the contest – Jeff, Reece, or Dylan? THANK YOU, Tiffany, Jeff & Rona

Senior High youth group visited Highland’s Presbyterian Camp and Retreat Center in Allenspark, CO on November 4-6. Shortly after arriving, they were sorted into their houses – Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and an additional house to accommodate the large number of ‘students’, Hollaren, which was named after Rev. Andrew Hollars, Highland’s founder. The Keynote Speaker was Rev. Bill Davis, youth pastor at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, GA. They explored and experienced the power of selfless love with a Harry Potter theme. In the Great Hall, decked out with Hogwarts house banners, decorated tables, and lights & candles hanging from the ceiling, they got to sample pumpkin pasties, chocolate frogs, butterbeer, and monster book cake.
In their free time, they enjoyed an afternoon of sledding, a hike to ‘the hidden room’, a short game of muggle quidditch just before the snow storm hit, a dance, and more.
